Our big assignment this week for DS106 was to take one of our favorite movies and create a video essay for it. One of the hardest parts of this, for me at least, was to decide on which movie I wanted to provide commentary on. I finally decided to talk about Requiem for a Dream and just needed to get my scenes, but unfortunately none of the programs that I tried to use to rip from YouTube were working and Handbrake hated me, so I ended up downloading Magic DVD Ripper and eventually got the job done. YouTube isn’t allowing me to embed my video for some reason and although I’ve stated fully that the video is property of Lionsgate I’m still getting copyright flags so hopefully they don’t pull my video down. Without further ado, here’s my video essay.
