But there are foxes. Indeed the red fox is the most widely distributed carnivore in the world. Though I have never seen one depicted in classical style (c.1840 – 1890 Northern)  Northwest Coast art I would imagine that it would look something like the figure on the left. The fable though would be more appropriately told with Raven and Tsonoqua seen on the right.
