Good Afternoon Bloggers!

So maybe it’s the daunting fact that my thesis draft is due in 3 weeks (and i’m procrastinating, spending all my time on ds106), or maybe that I’ve developed a keen desire for this whole blogging thing–but I’m starting to like this! It wasn’t just the comments on my work from classmates, don’t get me wrong, I LOVE that, but what is really awesome is that I’m receiving feedback and love from my friends not in ds106. People are seeing my stuff and for some reason I find that incredible. This process is changing my relationship with the internet and technology– yes I am still at war with my computer and printer when they don’t function properly, but the internet is becoming a little less scary. I mean look at me! I’m blogging my thoughts for something other than a grade.

In other news, I’m still waiting to hear back from graduate school and internships. I’m growing impatient. My applications have been in for a little over a month, I’m dying here! Obviously I care about the responses I get, but I’m more interesting in knowing what my plan is for next year. Will I be in Colorado? San Diego? Saving elephants in South Africa? I have no flipping clue and it’s driving me nuts.

My back is acting up again, so I feel it is time to go see a doc. For those who don’t know, I had hip surgery in May 2010 so I could play during my senior season of volleyball here at UMW. I got to play the last couple of weeks, but in doing so I probably set my body back a couple weeks. Injured my back in the process. Womp. I am getting used to lifting and running everyday, but I’m still unsure if I am able to play volleyball without pain–we will have to see.

Well, I suppose it’s that time–time to start writing my thesis. I’m going to post sometime this week a more in depth look into my thesis topic and process. Happy Tuesday!

Leslie
