Today I got the popular mobile phone application, Instagram.  I couldn’t help myself from taking pictures of everything I thought looked interesting, even when it involved looking like a freak, bending over while carrying all of my crap for school, just to get the perfect shot of weeds.  It’s applications like Instagram that get you excited to use your phone as an artistic tool.   Unfortunately for me, it kills my phone’s battery.  Otherwise, I would would have taken many more photos.

Here is a .gif that shows the photos that I took today.  I will update it as I take more photos.  Some of the photos today made me happy.  The picture of the brick wall that reads ” Nosy F.P.D” is significant because it is on the side of a small building near a pond.  This building has been graffitied for the last few years, with things like “blaze” and other interesting/odd quotes.  The last year, there as been a sort of battle between the local government (I’m assuming?) to paint over this graffiti, and the “artists.”  There is a photo of trees that had been toilet papered on campus, next to Mercer Hall.  I enjoy being able to capture these photos and I love the fact that they show up on a square canvas, as well as the instant editing capabilities.  Today’s essence – TIL that Instagram makes all photos look good.
