One Day

I wish I could speak the truth,

And you would believe every word I say.

With that every word,

I would have to cry one less tear.

If that truth cracks your stone heart,

All my fears will fade away.

I wish I could speak the truth,

Because burying it inside,

Makes my nights even deeper and longer.

I wish I could put this hurt in words,

And fly away from memories like a free bird.

I wish you could feel my thirst

And this heart ready to burst.

I wish I would speak the truth one day

And you will see what you’ve taken for granted.
