Not my favorite week so far :P

Wow, what a week.

Hopefully, this post will mean I’ve survived Week 2 of Bootcamp in ds106.  I dunno.  Depends on how fast I can get this published and into Canvas. :P   Here’s the rundown.

I had a blast with the daily creates.  I still love them.  I won’t rehash all 6 of mine here, though.  Feel free to peruse my post and enjoy my pathetic attempts at art. :)

I greatly enjoyed learning about Creative Commons.  I never knew something like that existed, but it’s kind of one of those things that gives you hope in the human race.  I mean, at least for me, it’s easier to teach my kids to share when I know that adults are capable of figuring out that fine art as well.

Gee, Crystal, how’d you get so funny??

See? Tom Hanks thinks I’m funny. ;)   I have to admit, this is a really simple process, as long as you can avoid all the bugs I encountered.  But MPEG Streamclip and GIMP seem to be pretty simple (at least with the help of the super-awesome tutorials), and it is fun watching Tom Hanks do that laugh over and over again.  So as much as I don’t get along with electronics all the time, the end result itself still made me smile. :)

Customizing my blog this week was fun, although of course I found a way to mess things up doing that, too.  Nonetheless, it’s nice to have a blog that’s all my own. :)   I need to get some of the vocabulary down, so I can communicate better when I’m having a hard time with things, but other than that, it’s not too difficult to navigate around and figure things out.  Google is my friend.

It really is going to be hard to schedule everything I have to do for this class into my extremely busy schedule every week.  But it is a lot of fun.  And I can’t help but think it will be worth it, still.
