Adventures with Ghost: The Terrorizer

One night, while the Fandom Princess was asleep in her chambers, she heard a noise that made her turn in her slumber. This noise also caught the attention of Ghost, who was curled up comfortably next to her on the bed. The Princess turned to go back to sleep, but Ghost jumped down from the bed and walked out the room. He looked around the chamber living room, but didn’t see anything that seemed to cause the noise.

Yet, as he turned to go back into the Princess’s bedroom, he heard the noise again. This time, he began to growl. He turned swiftly to the left and stared immensely into the darkness. The sound began to get louder and sounded like nails on cement. He began to walk towards the noise. Finally, as he approached the far wall, he saw that the cause of the noise was nothing but a harmless mouse. Even so, he barked once, and the mouse turned to escape the room through the hole in the wall.

Hey all! This is going to be a short post dedicated to the assignments that I created and why I decided to create them! I hope that they are both super popular in the future and that people will enjoy doing them. They were assignments that I would have liked to do, so that’s a start, right?

The first assignment that I created was called “So and So’s Greatest Hits.” I got the idea for the assignment when I went to Relay for Life a few weeks back there was a remix of a song that I really liked, but it was all by the same artist (ironically by Micheal Jackson). I thought, wow, this would be really cool to do an assignment on. And so, using Audacity, I thought that students could pick a bunch of songs from one artist, specifically their favorite songs or their hits, and make it into a creative mash-up, one that you wouldn’t mind grooving too at a real party. So, basically, play DJ! I made it worth 3.5 stars because sometimes this stuff can be tedious, and then depending on the amount of songs you want to use, this can be actually quite challenging. The assignment can be found here under Audio Assignments.

The second assignment that I created was called “What’s Your Opinion On….” I got the idea for this when someone in my English class asked me what my opinion on The Hunger Games was. OBVIOUSLY, they got an ear full (and possibly more than they wanted to know)  but what can I say? When you ask me about something I’m passionate about, obviously I’m going to want to talk about it. And that stemmed to this idea. What if people were to go around and ask other people about something that they’re passionate about, just because they’re curious to know what other people think. Do they share the same opinion? Do they not? I thought this was interesting, and so I figured people could go around, ask the magic words (What’s your opinion on…) and compile everything into a video. Like a documentary, a mini one, almost! This assignment is worth 3 stars because it can be as short as you want, and it shouldn’t be too hard to put clips together in Window’s. If you have a lot of editing, then I guess it can get tough, but since you want raw responses anyway, shouldn’t be too bad. This assignment can be found here under Video Assignments.
