top 5 how to blog

As I started this blog I thought I would chronicle my exploration of building my blog. Well as you can see this has not been a good representation of what we should and should not do. I have spent countless hours searching and searching for what to put in my blog and having a hard time articulating it back in a blog post.

So instead of me trying to sound like the “blog” expert, which I am not, I thought I would share resources and great online classes that I have found that will help you begin your blog. Most sites offer lots of great free information however the “good stuff” you usually have to pay a small fee for. I will tell you, these bloggers are awesome and I have purchased “the good stuff” and it is worth it!

  1. The b Bar: Cocktails and Cure-Alls for blogs and businesses: Such a great site with plenty of freebies on their blog as well as great pricing how to guides in the bar. Fantastic quick and easy to use guides.
  2. Elembee: Easy to follow, great freebies and great brand and design information.
  3. The Blog Academy: A terrific resource for everything blogging. Smart design and well-written courses.
  4. Christine Tremoulet: Amazing blogging information and I love her design and layout. She has a great message and a great 30 day to awesomize your blog that I am following.
  5. Amy Lynn Andrews: Great step by step guide to getting your blog up and running quickly.
