Summary of Week 5’s Daily creates

TDC 1352

Monday’s  daily create required me to add some icons to a photo, so I decided to use a panel from a Scott Pilgrim graphic novel and give him tears to make him seem a bit more sad. Originally, he was only pouting during this panel and personally I believe he should have some more emotion.

Tuesday’s daily create required me to insert someone or something crossing Abbey Road. I chose Bigfoot mainly because we were discussing him in one of my courses today and I thought it would be pretty shocking to see him crossing the street in the middle of the day. Especially around a lot of people.

Wednesday’s daily create required us to do some latte art. It didn’t specify how we should do it, so I used my GIMP skills to insert a PNG file of someone laughing into this latte. I chose to do it this way because I don’t drink lattes and I don’t believe that my  latte art would have been successful.

For this last daily create, I was given the task of juxtaposing the old and new with some old prints. I decided to add the Iron Giant to this image since he stands out compared to everything else in the artwork. It also works because the solider seemed to be staring hard at the moon or the view, but now he sees this futuristic metal man flying around.

I really enjoyed this weeks daily creates because the majority of them involved editing images in some way and I’ve always enjoyed doing that.
