Akira in 13 Seconds

Tetsuo! Kaneda! Tetsuo! Kaneda! You hear those names frequently throughout this film. You even hear those names said more than Akira’s name. However, these two names tell a story. A story about friends, brothers almost, who are having a conflict and one them is trying to stop the other from being rampaging psychic monster.

For this four and a half star assignment, I decided to use the film Akira to tell the story of the film in 13 seconds like some of the YouTube videos I saw. We were talking about Akira recently in the Graphic Novel course that I’m taking and having seen the movie, I figured Tetsuo and Kaneda calling out each other’s name from different parts of the film would be a perfect to tell the story in a short amount of time.

Creating this video project in Sony Vegas was fairly simple, I mainly used the Split tool to cut up pieces of the film and rearrange them in the order I wanted to.

Once I was finished with the editing and exporting of the project, I  uploaded it to YouTube where I gave it some description and a custom thumbnail.Untitled

I hope you all enjoyed the video!
