So, my wife is not a big fan of beards. When given the task of creating an animated gif on the ds106 site, I figured that I could take advantage of this opportunity to justify the release of my testosterone. Instead of using movie clips, I decided to step outside of the box and do “A Beard’s Life” for a month. The following snapshots were taken November 29th – December 29th. They are all self-portraits taken with my cell phone while looking in the mirror. I did a quick cropping and tried my best to align them and created my animated gif with http://www.myspacegens.com/ (the first animated gif maker on my Google search).

At the end of this “experiment”, I’ve been called a wanna-be Santa Claus, an ex-con, and worse still an ex-con who wants to be Santa. I think I now agree with my wife.
