When I was a freshman at Mary Wash there was no Bhangra team on campus.  A friend of mine took the initiative and organized the university’s first Bhangra club/team the following year.  I have been apart of the team since then and I absolutely love the energy and spirit that Bhangra represents.   

I found a clip of Omarion (R&B singer) dancing to Bhangra — he looks like a professional.  With this clip, I want to show that Bhangra is finding its way into mainstream pop culture and is becoming known to more people each and ever day. Now YOU know :p

Also, here is a clip of a female dhol player. (Dhol is a drum) She is playing to Rihanna’s “Rude Boy.” Amazing.  After watching this, I wanted to learn how to play the dhol–my next move–YouTube search “how to play the dhol”
