Pirates of the Opera

I picked out the 2 movies that I like and decided to combine them into a single movie/story.
The 2 movies are “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Phantom of the Opera.”
I used “Pirates of the Caribbean” for the visual part of the video and “Phantom of the Opera” for the audio part.
They went well together because they are both action and romance/drama films.
The program/software I used was called “AVS Video Editor” that I downloaded for free! but because it was free, they put their watermark at the center of my video :-( so it doesn’t look as good as I thought it was going to be.
It took me about a week to figure out how to actually use the software and compile everything together. The biggest problem I had was with the sound adjustment. It was hard to adjust the sounds louder/lower when it needed to be. Before I was able to use AVS Video Editor, I first had to download the clips from YouTube (just like we did for the video essay assignment), converted into the compatible format, then worked my way through. The entire project definitely took me longer than I thought and I think it’s because I was so new to AVS Video Editor (I used Windows Live Movie Maker last time) that I had to play with it a little bit which took a little awhile…

Hope you guys like it! Here’s the link you can follow: Pirates of the Opera
