Improving the Blog and talking tennis

Just got my laptop fixed! Woot woot! Starting today, I am going to attempt to blog everyday. Currently, I’m watching the replay of the Nadal and Djokovic championship tennis match, and they are just ridiculous. The match ends up being a total of five hours and fifty three minutes. I can’t even comprehend that. It just makes no sense to me. You have to be inhuman. Supposably, you run 9-10 miles for a 2-3 set match. This is a five set match, and the reason it is taking so long our the points are so long, so it’s something like twenty miles in this tennis match. Also consider this, Nadal started off his ground strokes at 72 mph for the first three sets, than 5 hours later he is hitting it at 75mph. His speed increases! Let’s consider this to a sport that is all legs. According to The Sunday Times website, midfielders in England’s Premiership worked the hardest in the 2005-06 season, running on average 7 miles, 246 yards per game. In basketball, An average player runs about 5 miles in a basketball game. I just wanted to show how a small comparassion of how athletic you need to be to play with these guys.

On a side note, the audience sits there for six hours? I know it is incredible to watch, but my attention span is nothing even close to that. I would hope that the food is less expensive that in American stadiums….

Also, how does your body feel the next day? What do you do for the rest of the day?

Who knows?
