Leap of Faith

Plumfrost Day 7: Not far from the village, a man called to me.  Sitting on the ledge of a broken wagon, his tiny black legs dangling towards the earth, he introduced himself.  ”I’m Sol Racth, leader of the caravan from Alfitaria,” he said in a shrill voice.  ”Now watch,” he murmured.  And so, I watched, and stared in amazement as one great leap sailed him towards the heavens, his red hat billowing outwards.

On the return to the village, no one believed a word nor had ever heard of the caravan leader Sol Racth from Alfitaria.

I ended up on Replay Value after hearing about Tony’s sad fate.  Who’s story can I tell? There must be one less fiery, but still one just as magical.

Thinking deeply, I found a childhood classic in the worn corners of my memories.  Final Fantasy, how could I forget you.  One last tip of the hat old friend.  While this image is from one I’ve never played (11), oh well.  Justice must be done and this one just has a tale urged to be talk about.

I expanded on my Gimp skills a little in this one.  I pulled out a classic FF blue text box from another image with Lasso,  and copied it in.  Since the text box has a gradient of blues, I decided just to take a rectangle of empty blue space and copy it over the text that was already present in the box.  I then downloaded a FF font, copied it into the font folder in control panel, and, voila, had the new text in GIMP.

And so here is little Gogo’s tale.
