creating my blog

Hello world indeed.  I am not very technologically inclined so the set up of my blog took longer then expected.  I purchased a domain name through hover and a server contract through hostgator and then amended my name servers.  unfortunately I did not realize that the tutorial I had found online did not mention that the nameservers would have a specialized code before the name of the host server.  This combined with the fact that I apparently had a typo in my email when registering at hostgator made for a very challenging first week of class for me (third for everyone else in the class).  After waiting the prescribed 48hrs I began to get nervous that nothing was ever going to happen because computers famously dislike me.  I began to attempt to trouble shoot the situation on my own and found various possible tutorials on problems that could go wrong.  I tried flushing my dns cache and when that didnt work I took my problems to a higher technological power then myself.  Alan Levine helped me figure out that it was most likely an error in registration and that I should have gotten an email with specific nameservers for my site.  He also helped me navigate the Hostgator site which is no easy task, try finding a log in page on the site if you dont believe me, (I recommend food, water and very large ball of twine if you are so inclined).  finally I called the support number and they got me straightened out.  I’m HERE!
