Hitting My Stride

Just kidding. That was an overstatement. The first assignment I actually completed earlier today (before work) but didn’t have time to blog ‘em up. After getting back from work, I completed this next assignment. So don’t be fooled by the time warp that seems to have occurred here.

This is the “Little Caption” assignment, which also happens to be worth two stars. For this one I had some difficulty finding a picture that I could come up with a caption for. I think it was that there are just so many options I couldn’t decide on just one!  I searched around the “Creative Commons” images on Flickr, but there was just too much to choose from. I think using someone else’s picture would have been really great if someone else picked which one I had to caption. That would make it a real challenge. But…. because no one was here to force a picture on me, I decided to turn to my own pictures.

The picture I ended up choosing was one I took while in Oregon. (I know, you’re sick of hearing me talk about my trip to Oregon. I agree with you, I’ve killed describing that trip. However, there were lots of silly pictures that resulted from that trip, so they will probably continue to appear. Sorry.) It was taken on our drive to/from Crater Lake and depicts a ridiculous road sign. Here’s what I’ve done with it.

It just seemed to me like this sign wasn’t entirely necessary. I should hope that people know falling off the edge of a cliff would be problematic to their physical well being. But, I guess it was a big enough issue that the sign needed to be installed, just as a casual reminder.
