This assignment is called “Character Bird Call” by CogDog. Essentially we have to create an audio clip that would attract a character from our favorite tv show or movie, much like a whistle would attract birds. For this assignment I chose one of my favorite characters of all time, Homer Simpson:
The call starts off with a beer can opening, which Homer is likely to hear from a mile away. The next part is a remix of the Simpsons theme song, which is interrupted by a loud potato chip eater. By this point in the call, Homer is likely within feet of your location. The character call finally ends with the full theme song. Homer’s classic reaction at the end of the audio clip isn’t actually part of the bird call, but Homer’s realization that he was just tricked.
