Holy last post of the night batman, it’s time to analyze a radio program!

Alright, I listened to a radio program from Radiolab entitled ‘The Bad Show’ and it can be found here http://www.radiolab.org/2012/jan/09/

I didn’t know what to expect of this show from the title. I could have been bad as in the worst show they’ve ever done, or bad like super villains or something. It turned out to be closer to the later. They went through stories trying to discover if people are bad or have moments of evil and are willing to kill. The stories were interesting and probably pre-recorded since they would layer explanation on top of the interview. There was even a portion where it sounded like they fabricated a conversation between themselves and someone else.

The use of music was effective and most of the time not noticeable or intrusive. Also the use of perceived setting was cool. During the story of the psychology experiment one of the broadcasters got up and went to another room and asked a question. The broadcaster that had remained got electrocuted. It’s cool that you can make it seem like you have moved location in the studio while not having to move at all.
