NEW Assignment: Is that a… GHOST?!

There are two ways to do this assignment. The goal is to make someone look like they are a menacing ghost.  You can either take a photo with a long exposure or copy and paste a selection of another photo and make it a transparent layer on top of another image. In both of these I used long exposures. The first image is the inspiration for this assignment because there is a ghost girl stealing pb.  I set my camera anywhere between 6 and 8 seconds so that the person acting as a ghost can stay in the photo for half the time and duck for the rest so that they appear transparent and ghost like. The settings for the first photo are fstop: f/20, shutter speed: 6 sec.

Notice it’s a bit blurry.  When doing ghostie shots make sure the camera is resting on something, preferably a tripod.

You’d think she would go for the nutella…

Here is another with aperture: f/8, shutter speed: 8 sec.

This is me being a a ghost.  If there’s going to be another person in the photo make sure hey are super still. Also, since the photo needs a long exposure the light should be dim.  If you were outside, dusk would be the optimal time for a ghost picture.
