SAK Radio

Wow, this radio show was harder to make than I thought it would be.  There were so many details to consider when working with other people on audio.  I wanted to add a lot of effects, but just laying down the vocal track was time consuming. I had so much fun making the bumper, but then I had to add the meat of the show.  I listened to a few cooking shows and realized that the show consisted of many other bits than just cooking.  They had guests and food facts so I used the examples I heard as a template for my own cooking show.  The biggest hardship was the fact that my group couldn’t meet and so we had to do everything via Dropbox.  We finally got together after Spring Break to record the reflection, but I would have liked to meet more than once so that we talk about the overall flow of the show..which it lacked.  I think we had a good idea, but it was hard to execute with the varying programs that we were using/trying to learn how to use.  I used Logic and Maura and Lins used audacity. I think we would do much better if we had the chance to do another show and could meet more often. Also, in the final show the commercial in the first segment is supposed to go into the cooking segment and the Blackstone commercial into the last segment so there placement issues.

Here’s the reflection:
