KAV Radio:  You’re listening to Inside Scoop with Khrystie, Abby, and Victoria!

Our radio show is finally up and running and boy did was it a process! We started the show three weeks ago and experienced major problems along the way. When the project was first assigned we were pretty excited to work with Garage Band create a radio show of our own. We decided to make our show about a variety of subjects. Our target audience was definitely young women around the world. We had a breaking news segment as well as a horrible parent of the week part and those were our most serious broadcasts. We then moved to celebrity gossip and discussed the hottest topics going on right now. We played three songs in between some segments. For example, since we discussed Chris Brown and Rihanna collaborating on a song, we played their newest song.  Also, we played a Jessica Simpson song because she was a huge part of our gossip segment.

We played two commercials: Platex Gentle Glide tampons and Hydroxycut Cut. We played these commercials because they really targeted our audience. Women would definitely be the most interested in these products.

To find our intro, outro, and bumpers we went onto freesounds.org. There, we searched what we wanted and found sounds that fit into our show. We were also very particular about the transitions because we wanted everything to flow and sound just right. Khrystie was definitely our transition pro and made sure everything sounded just right.

We were so happy when we were finally done with the project because we had to start over multiple times. The first time we recorded some of it, the metronome was  playing in the background and we had to rerecord the next day. Then, just as we finished the show and started to save it, notices showed up that our files were corrupted and we pretty much lost our entire show. We were even on the phone with apple trying to figure out what happened, but he was no help. So needless to say, we went home defeated. Luckily, we got an extension on our project and thus began again on Thursday the 15th. We did 11 minutes of it and saved the rest for Sunday. But guess what happened? When we went to open the file, it was corrupted yet again and so we had to rerecord for the 3rd time. But we were finally successful and got the show complete!

So after a very long and complicated process, here is KAV radio! Enjoy!! :)
