I think I broke my manhood

Well I got an awkward remix from the start, my assignment was to do the iconic you assignment but with the twist of doing it the exact opposite; meaning the un-iconic me i suppose. So in a horrible display of my manliness I have created this:

The people featured in the letters are from an anime series called Ouran High school Host Club, and I despise it with a passion. It is one of the most fan girl  pleasing shows out there and I think you can see why.

You see just as in any other type of entertainment you have the stuff that are centered for boys and the stuff for girls, in the anime world this is known as shounen (literally meaning young boy) and shoujo (literally meaning young girl). As an example when a character’s, in a shounen series, hair begins to wildly flare up as if it were startled cat, that generally means their power level has skyrocketed and you should get the hell out of there. But in a similar action when a character’s, in a shoujo series, hair starts to move or is purposefully tasseled  it erupts in a large amount of flower petals, glitter or sparkles from an unknown origin:

I think it’s obvious which I prefer. However don’t get me wrong I have no problems with shoujo series, some are just as or more funny and action packed as any shounen series. My main issue is with shoujo shows like Ouran here and its overwhelming theme of romance. Look romance is fine in a show; sometimes I look forward to it. But and I want to emphasize this is my opinion, it cannot be the goal of the show. Romance needs to happen naturally as a byproduct of circumstance, that makes it all the more special when it does happen. Rather than the plot unfolding as, some guy wants a girlfriend and oh look there’s one. So yeah for a change heres a series I recommend you don’t see and now I need to go reclaim my manhood.
