Final Project: Step Two

Above is an image of my “picture box.” I wish I could tell you that these were all of the pictures, but sadly there are many more that won’t fit into the box. As you can see there are too many pictures to possibly scan all of them for my final project. Once I start scanning them I will have a better idea of how many pictures I will realistically be able to scan a week. I’m getting a little ahead of myself here. Let’s go back to step two. I now have the pictures, but I need something to be able to scan them!

I didn’t bring my printer from home because it was too big and I had nowhere to put it. Also, I hated the fact that it didn’t print double-sided. After searching online for quite some time I finally found the printer of my dreams. My mom has reward points to Staples that she was willing to give me. Thankfully the printer was sold at staples. There’s nothing better than a good coupon! I went to the Staples in Fredericksburg and disappointed to find that they did not carry the printer in stock. In fact, no one around here did. They offered to order it online for me but I was unsure if I would like it since i had never seen it in purpose. The manager then assured me that if I didn’t like it for any reason I could quickly and easily return the printer, on questions asked. I finally gave in and bought the printer even though I wasn’t too sure that I would like it.

Now, the printer was a HP Envy 100 e-all-in-one D410 series. I don’t know if it’s the best printer in the world but I definitely like it. It can do everything I will need for school and this project including print, scan, and copy. It has wireless capability which will make everything much easier. It is so annoying to have to plug your laptop into your printer every time you want to print. The printer is black and silver, which matches the decor in my room. It is small and sleek so I could put it almost anywhere. Best of all, it prints double-sided!!

The printer is now on order so I have to wait a couple of days for it to get here before I am able to make any more progress on my final project. I can’t wait for it to get here.
