2 for 1 Review on Radio Shows

I am on Team SpiritXpress so it was my job to review A Road to Somewhere! The guidelines for reviewing can be found here.

First on the review list is A Road to Somewhere,

Right outta the gate the Group’s show really impressed me with the reading of “Oh, the Place You’ll Go” by Dr. Seuss. The background music sealed the deal of a great entertainment piece and brought the story together with the reader’s voice! (: I loved it! VERY entertaining :D The commercial made me laugh. I loved her voice and it seemed like she really got into it.(: The Radio Bumper, Route 66 was my favorite part of the show. I love the song. The audio seemed a bit unclear for the bumper, compared to the readings. The audio quality was perfect for the reading of the poem and the commercial. The bumper seemed rough.. but maybe that was intentional? The random case of long noises was different… I don’t want to bash in any way, because I am sure it took a lot of effort! (: So bravo for the effort, it just wasn’t my favorite part. I feel as though, structure was lacking… I mean I guess there wasn’t a real need for one. It was overall entertaining and I feel like that was the point. To summarize, I think this group did an awesome job and it seemed as though they put A LOT of work into their show :D Their sound effects were outstanding! I give this show 4.5 out of 5 stars because the audio, sound effects, and entertainment were all just about perfect. (:

Now onto, our show, SpiritXpress!

First off, our audio quality… umm it wasn’t great, all of our mics could’ve been way better. Our transitioning wasn’t terrible but we never all met in person so it was hard to decide how everything would flow together perfectly. I think Amber was the only one to incorporate music into her segment. It turned out very nicely, as for the rest of us we lacked the musical element unfortunately. However, we incorporated music into the bumpers and commercial (: Also, I don’t think we used sound effects. Our show’s structure was intentionally supposed to be interview style as agreed on. I think Amber and I were the only ones that actually did an interview style… I could be wrong. SpiritXpress definitely tells the story of autumn. We were able to convey traditions, trends, styles, and food to a T (: Overall, I would rate our show 3.5 outta 5 stars, because the audio wasn’t great. I think we put together a good show for what we had to work with. I think our group communication would’ve been better if we were able to meet as a whole.
