So I wanted to do something within the confines of my passion for Fire and Rescue. If you read my planning post, you knew this was coming. I was given some ideas on how to make a more compelling story by changing the subject and making it less real and more fiction. @Cogdog mentioned cartoons and I dropped all the ideas I had. I had already completed an outline for all of the assignments and what I wanted to do for each part of the story. But the opportunity to create a story with what I love paired with cartoons that I used to watch Sunday mornings, it was a done deal. I redid my entire outline and created the story above!^^^^^^

If you need a summary of what is going on, or if the story just doesn’t make sense, I’ll lay it out for you.

Like any movie, you have previews. So with the “A Word…A Picture…A Story“, I created a small clip of what you were about to see. You get the protagonist, the setting, an explosive trap, and the antagonist all in 46 seconds(Look I even used fancy English terms!). But like I said, this is a preview, so keep going, there is more story to be had!

With some “Storytelling Within The Web“, I begin the story by showing that Wile E. Coyote is looking for a hitman, essentially, to assist him with capturing or killing the RoadRunner. I also designed a Wanted Poster, it’s kind of a design assignment, but I’m not sure if there is one for it! (hint hint, anyone looking for an extra assignment to create, feel free!) ((But don’t use a generator, that’s too easy and stupid. It would take away from the assignment!))

Well, as we saw in the preview, the bomb drops. The bridge is blown up and 911 is called…by who else than the Looney Toons?!?! (and AHHNOLD!!!) This was my own assignment I created called “911, What’s Your Emergency?” I felt that the Looney Toons were the perfect group to make the call, however, it’s hard to use soundboards when they don’t always say the things you need them too! But I managed, and then had to grab Arnold because he had the perfect line to describe the location…plus, if you’re going to have an out of place character, might as well make him epic!

Moving on, I did another “Storytelling Within The Web”, but this time I used Twitter. With the help of my X-Ray Goggles, I transformed my Twitter feed into an EMS feed! It has the radio communication of what would be said on a real call if this were to actually happen!

I then wanted to do a Wanted poster for The Coyote, because he is a bad, bad, dog. But I wanted to put it in the paper so that people could see…but ending up stumbling onto a newspaper generator…Okay, it is a little cheap like I mentioned above, but I at least came up with a decent sized story to put into the generator! And since I couldn’t add the Wanted photo, I just threw it in after!

To close up the story, I took a picture of the hero(es) of the day who doused the blaze at the bridge and helped all of those who were in distress due to the explosion! This was the then “Then-Now-Together” which actually took some work to accomplish. I not only had to find a picture of myself when I was younger, I also had to find me wanting to be a firefighter!! (Good thing that’s what everyone wants to be when they grow up…right?) I then had to take the old photograph and scan it into the digital age! From there I used my GIMP magic and there we are, the hero(es) of the day!

I hope you enjoyed my final story. A little comedic cartoon relief, a look into my EMS life, and the Coyote once again failing to capture the RoadRunner. May the stories live on….
