A Week Worth of Daily’s

Okay, so here is the deal. I  wanted to mix things up and make a post of all of the daily creates I did, but honestly it will never be happening again because it stressed me out way too much. So this is my first and last post that includes all of my daily creates, for the sake of my sanity.

So the beginning of the week called for a serious case of the Mondays, so it was only appropriate that I made an acrostic poem about my pajamas. I actually ended up making two different poems because I also wanted to make one about my tiara. Yes, that’s right, a tiara. Don’t even lie, you all have one.

Wednesday brought on my favorite daily create so far and the idea was one of my fellow ds106 students which makes it so much better! I was quickly inspired by the different Disney movie ones they had and I couldn’t wait to pick what movie I wanted. I went between different Disney princess movies and I finally decided to pick Sleeping Beauty. I’m sure that it is no secret about how much I really do not enjoy Snow White, so it was only natural that I do something about Sleeping Beauty.

But the best part about this assignment beside the humor was that I made it in GIMP! So long Paint I’ve moved on to bigger and better things. I uploaded the cover and then erased the text and added the new text on a different layer. It just takes a while to get used to GIMP, but I’ll be sure to keep trying it out!

Thirdly, my last daily create was my first introduction into the audio world, which is appropriate for this week. Humming my earliest musical memory was the itsy bitsy spider, which my mom used to sing to me all the time before going to bed. Eventually she ended up changing the words to a song about seahorses (I had a weird obsession with them), but the tune always stayed the same. So here was my first introduction to the Soundcloud world:

I was so surprised with how easy it was to record just one simple thing, and it was a great start to the rest of the week, which you can read about in my weekly summary!

Thanks for reading!
