For my first four stars I chose to do “Youtube Your Way“. For this assignment we were asked to fin our favorite youtube video or a random one and alter it to something completely different. For this video I looked up a video of the Twist by Chubby Checker.

What I remixed this page to was “Puppies Doing Backflips“. For this I used Googlegoggles. I remixed everything from comments, to titles, to “suggested videos”. Once I figured out how to use googlegoggles the whole process was pretty easy! After downloading this application, all I had to do was place the link into my shortcuts/tab bar. Then when I was at a page I wanted to alter I just needed to click on the shortcut, highlight the part of the page I wanted to edit and I’m off!

I chose this assignment because after doing the first web assignment in which we had to remix another page (for which I chose to do an amazon page), I found it really easy! I knew my Amazon page was sort of a first draft, and I wanted to get more practice with this assignment. I am so excited I learned how to do this! It will make a great skill for practical jokes later!

For my last star I chose the assignment “Google Translate Fail“. For this assignment we needed to translate something into a foreign language. Most times when you translate things using google translate, whatever you translate into english comes out rather funny. But just to assure this I typed an sentence that is leads itself to be misinterpreted.

I chose the sentence “My mother likes to eat and watch TV”, I chose to write the sentence in Chinese since A. I can speak Chinese fairly well and B. Things that are translated into English usually come out funnier than when translated from English. So when I translated this sentence into English it came out as “The my mother happy dinner and looks at electricity sound”. This web assignment was hysterical!
