Fun fact: I love space. So, for my sound effect story, I made this:

Essentially what goes on is someone is in their spaceship and they leave the space station they’re in. They cruise in hyperspeed for a bit before they receive a distress signal. They drop out of hyperspeed and turn on their scanners to search for the ship emitting the distress signal. Shortly after locking onto the signal, their ship is hit by a missile. Turns out the distress signal was a fake set up by some pirates to ambush good samaritans. As their ship is getting destroyed, the pilot chooses to pull the emergency escape lever and ejects from the ship.

To make this, I used Audacity (of course) and a ton of sounds that I found on freesound. I know the assignment was only supposed to be 90 seconds max, but I wanted to add a couple more seconds at the end, so I ended up making it 94 seconds. Hope that’s okay!

(Note: the title is morse code for SOS, which is the distress signal the pilot receives)
