    Week Four!

    by
Another busy week has passed. It is hard to believe that we have completed the fourth week of the semester! Unfortunately, the stomach bug got the best of me and I spent most of my week stuck in bed. Thankfully, I am feeling back to normal! I still have not been able to figure out […]

    Photo Analysis

    by
This was the first photo that caught my eye from The Modern Met’s, “Top 12 Street Photographers Who Captured the Grit of New York in the 70s and 80s.” The photo was taken by Frank Horvat in New York City taken in the early 1980’s. While doing research for another blog post for this course […]

    Blog #4

    by
My photography experience is very limited. I’ve never taken a class on it or looked at pointers before this course. I usually take pictures of nature (especially mushrooms) or things that just look cool to me. I really like taking pictures w distorted mirrors. After reading articles I can definitely improve on my angles andRead more

    Photoblitz!

    by
This week we were challenged to complete a 20 minute Photoblitz. While it was fun, it was definitely a challenge!! It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I wanted to take as many “good” pictures as I could, but 20 minutes goes by fast. Thank majority of my time was trying […]

Hello! This assignment is called “Create A Silly Movie Poster” by Richard Barnes. It is worth 3.5 stars and has the following description: “Take an existing movie poster and make it look silly. week five

    by
Even though this week’s focus was photography, I felt like I did way more writing than last week, in which we focused on the writing aspects of digital story telling and had assignments from the writing bank.  I don’t mind writing, at all, but I guess it was something I didn’t expect as much of for this week! My favorite part of the week was the Photoblitz and the Daily Creates (one, two, three). With the Photoblitz, I was really able to be challenged and connect it with a lot of meaningful aspects in my life (such as the butterfly and the pointe shoes), and I feel like I was able to make it into something really personal to share instead of just a “busy-work” assignment. The visual assignments were pretty fun as well, my two favorites from this week were the Four Lines, Five Dots, One Curve, and the GIPHY movie of the Karate Kid. I’m not sure why but I struggled to get my Word Cloud the way I wanted it to look, and it took me way longer than expected, but it was also fun to learn a bunch of 80’s slang with this assignment. The Dance Camp poster was also fairly easy but PicsArt has a ton of options on how to edit photos/add things to it, and I felt […]

    Weekly Wrapup!

    by
Alli’s Eye (visuals of storytelling)While writing this blog post, I thought about how a picture has 1,000 words. A picture with no words or explanations can have a different narrative. One person may think one picture means one thing while another person may think something totally different. That’s the power behind a picture. Picture AnalysisThis …

    4th Weekly Summary

    by
I started off the week very poorly and I ended it quite poorly. I have been stressed out over exams, homework, and personal issues so I unfortunately wasn’t able to accomplish what I was hoping to accomplish, not just in this class but in all my other classes. Of course, falling behind builds to the Read More

The Life (& death) of Carol

Growing up, I used to ride around in my grandma’s car bumping to the same 80’s tunes. She did not an aux but she did have tapes. After my grandma passed, I bequeathed her car as well as the tapes of 80’s music. Below shows my first and last ride and between that it portraysRead more
