Dear Future Student,

I definitely recommend taking DS106, even if you’re not a computer science person.  I went into this class with no blogging experience and pretty much no internet knowledge and I’m leaving with a check next to both of those, because I think my computer knowledge is pretty good now!  This class is super great and I loved it, but be forewarned, it’s not easy!  The assignments are time consuming, but if you work hard, you definitely feel accomplished after you’ve completed them!  JimGroom is always available for extra help, he’s willing to grant extensions, and he’s super supportive and very excited about everything that you do!  I took the online section and even so, I never felt out of the loop or disconnected!  DS06 is a great way to express yourself through blogging and the crazy assignments that JimGroom assigns!  Only in this class could I have a blog with a pink monster theme and not get laughed at for it, JimGroom actually loved it; I even changed it once and he told me I had to change it back!  DS106 is time consuming, but it is absolutely worth every minute that you spend on your assignments!

I hope that you get the awesome experience of taking this class because you’ll love every minute!

Sincerely,

A past student
