Group Project Proposal Deadline

Posted by

Today is the deadline for Group Project Proposals. I’ve created and shared a Google document with everyone to enter Final Project intentions.

For those doing Group projects, please enter your group name and the names of all members on the first sheet (Final Project Group).

For students wishing not to do a group project. You have 2 options.

  1. Propose an individual project of your own choice
  2. Do one of the three individual projects listed below
Please use the second tab of the shared document if you are doing an individual project. If you intend to do a project of your own choice, please enter your name and project description in the purple columns.
Individual Project Choices (note that if you may also propose your own project idea – item 1 above).
Choice A: Write a 2-3 page paper in which you write about your experience doing the Digital Storytelling portion of the course. There will be no in class presentation for students selecting this option.
Choice B: Use Prezi to create a “biography” of a past or present ds106 participant who is not involved with CIS0835.  The participant may be either a student or instructor. It would be ideal if you made contact with the individual and conducted some form of interview (by email or Skype). Students choosing this option will have the choice whether or not to give a presentation in class, but the Prezi should be embedded on the student’s blog.
Choice C: Give a 5 minute presentation before the class that summarize your experience with the digital storytelling portion of the course. There will be a high expectation that this is well prepared and practiced presentation. You will need to bring your ‘A’ game to earn highest marks should you choose this option.
If you prefer to choose one of the last three options, please enter your name and project selection (A,B, or C) in the green columns on the second tab of the shared Google Document.
