For those who have not read the book, in the dystopian future the govt [the capitol as its called in the book] created hybrids of animals the mockingjay is a mocking bird and a jay bird it can repeat human vocal tones while singing! Also, the mocking jay is on fire because in the book Katniss the main character is callled “the girl on fire:” and she wears a mocking jay pin while in the arena fighting for her lifeeeeeee!
