Make a Tutorial for your Mom is another video assignment I’m going to do (Make a short tutorial showing someone who is not very familiar with computers or asks you to do something for them all the time because they don’t know how….).

I just spent some time Googling good screen capturing software for a mac.  I found a lot that cost money, a little more than I wanted to spend. (I had the free Jing, but I ran out of minutes ) LUCKILY, the app store exists and had quite a few apps that did this!  I read some reviews and found one for $2.99! How exciting!  The reviews looked good, I tested it out and I now have a working app, called “Screen Capture.”

My plan is to show my mom how to Skype.  I am going to go to the website, register and create a new name, download it to the computer, set it up and show her how to put in a friend’s name, and do a short skype call.

That’s the plan!
