My Favorite Work

By far, the thing I’m most proud of that I have done so far is my design assignment The Big Hip Hop. I edited a picture of a soldier in Afghanistan and added lyrics from “Where is the Love” by the Black Eyed Peas. When I edited the picture, I didn’t do too much because I thought it was a beautiful picture to start with, but I took out all the color except around the soldier so he looked to be standing in a spotlight. The text I added cut right through the soldier to emphasize what the lyrics were saying “I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder.” I’m really proud of the work that I did, but I also think that the picture that I did highlighted something that affects every person in America; whether we support it or not, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are still being fought and Americans are fighting everyday for the rest of us at home. I think that the picture that I posted showed this perfectly, and I’m really proud of the work that I’ve done!
