My New Role: The TA

US Navy Cryptanalytic BombeAs those of you attended last Thursday’s class will have heard, I have been demoted to the role of Teacher’s Assistant (TA) for the duration of the digital story telling section of the course. Out of the blue, a previous instructor of this course, Otto Paertz stepped forward and assumed the responsibility of guiding you through the exciting and amusing world of digital storytelling. Actually, this development comes as a bit of a relief to me. It will allow me more time to focus on reading your awesome blogs and to pursue a record score in the most awesome video game ever.

As Otto Paertz is not able to attend our class in person, though he might at some point join us by teleconference over Skype, I will still be responsible for taking attendance and guiding the in class lessons. But you will be expected to follow Otto Paertz on twitter and to subscribe to his blog.

Speaking of his blog, in a recent post entitled Bringing your ‘A’ Game, he has instructed everyone to check out Cogdog’s PechaFlickr before next Tuesday’s lesson. This is in addition to the research and reading you were asked to do related to ds106 (see Otto Paertz’s previous blog post).

So it looks like there is plenty to keep us busy over the remainder of the holiday weekend. Also, please don’t forget the midterm examination will take place on Thursday October 13, 2011.
