What is Web 2.0?

Tim O’Reilly’s “What is Web 2.0?” is a well-known articulation of the ways in which the internet experienced a paradigm shift in the early 2000′s. For this assignment, I wanted to take two of the changes he identified, and express them in a different way:

The actual construction of this project was fairly straightforward. I made all of the drawings using MS Visio (thank you MSDN AA!) and exported them as PDF files, which were then imported into Prezi. The important bit here is that they are PDFs: this causes them to be saved in a vector graphics format, which means they can be scaled to any size in Prezi and still look great. Finally, I was able to take advantage of the pathing and rotations in Prezi to (hopefully) capture the ideas of paradigm shifts and top-down versus bottom-up.
