So I just got done toying around with adding plugins to what is an extremely bare blog at this point in time. I had previously played around with themes but saw nothing I like so I decided to simply customize the default theme WordPress gave me with some Teddy Roosevelt imagery. I added subscribe to comments plugin, twitter tools, akismet, google analytics and slickr flickr as a flicker gallery tool. So far I have just installed and activated the plugins and am planning on tinkering with the settings as soon as I post this. I didn’t really encounter any issues with adding these plugins or setting them up though i thought akismet was going to give me some trouble it was quite honestly a breeze and being the cheap college kid I am I was very pleased to select the $0.00 option for an api key from them. I will update later if I have any issues that arise from these plugins.
