Averaging Concepts

I chose “Averaging Concepts using Flickr” for my second Visual Assignment. As the title suggests, I had to take images from Flickr and then average them together using Photoshop. I completed the assignment using this tutorial. I didn’t have either of the referenced programs so I had to download Bulkr and a free 30-day trial of Photoshop. I was surprised at how easy these programs were to use, especially since I had no previous experience.

The assignment said to search for one word so I first decided to use two intangible concepts, compassion and intuition. After that I wanted to experiment with less abstract ideas so I went a little crazy and decided to average the four seasons. I really like the way these turned out because the colors are more vibrant and there is more a contrast between the different images.
