SongStory: Audio Assignment 3

I think this might be my favorite assignment yet. The clip I used came from youtube: I Go Back by Kenny Chesney. I loved this because it gave me an opportunity to reflect on my fondest summertime memories as a child and reminded me of how much I love my Pop Pop. The saying is typically “daddy’s little girl” but I’ve always been “pop pop’s little girl”. I don’t know that I’m completely happy with the end product of this though, I had a lot of trouble coming up with the words I wanted to use and placing them in the right place. I experimented with talking over the song (about a thousand different times) but no matter what wording I used, it just didn’t sit well with me. I don’t know if I like simply talking before the song starts either, but I decided to just let it be. I guess part of the problem may be that the song simple says it all in this case. Also, I was worried about making this too long- and I could say a lot about these memories. Or maybe I just need to think it over for a while and come back to it. But in the meantime, here it is…
