Due to my jobs, other classes and wreckless 4th of July weekend, I now find myself very far behind in my digital life. Now I need to dig myself out of the hole that I have made for myself. And so the madness begins….
For my first audio assignment I decided to do the sound effects story. And what better enviornment then the legendary Rucker Park in NYC. Even Bostonians like me need to show respect for the most famous “playground” basketball court in the world.
I tried to jump headfirst into Audacity by trying to trim just the vocals of one song and lay it over another, inverting one and applying effects as well. All of this went to hell, because I couldn’t figure out how to do any of it. Tutorials on youtube were barely helpful. Instead I decided to start off slow and do this assignment, which mainly involved where to cue each sound and how loud you want each to be. I had a lot of fun doing it.
