We’re All Artists: A Response

I must say I have to agree with everything Tim Owens has said in this broadcast about us being all artists and having creativity. First off, I do think we’re all artists. I think creativity is innate. We all create and have created at some point or another. Whether its for a school project, drawing cartoons as a hobby, or making a gif for this class. All these things and anything created takes thought and dedication. It is a process. And personally, (this may sound cheesy but its true) I try to see everything as an art form because I think it is.

So when people say “oh, I’m not creative enough…..etc, etc”, to me its like there thought process is there but the dedication is not. Maybe because they’re scared of how everyone else thinks of what they create or whatever the case. In other words, like Tim said, they’re not stepping out of that comfort zone. They’re basically blocking themselves from being creative.

I also think its nice of him to have posted all those helpful resources. I didn’t even know half of them existed. The internet is chop full of resources to help get the creativity juices flowing. Its just a matter of us utilizing it to our advantage. I’ll definitely be using these helpful websites as well.
