Movie Trailer Mashup

Video Mashup

Description: Take your favorite movie trailer and mash it up with a different trailer to completely change the meaning of the original trailer. For example, if you have a funny movie trailer, give it the sound of a terrifying movie; or vice versa. You may need to clip the audio or the visual, use imovie and audacity to cut the clips to give you what you need. Good luck!

Result: I chose two movies: “The Bride of Chucky” and “Brides War.” None of them are my favorite but I thought I would be great to mix them together because they are about brides.  Even though”The Bride of Chucky” as you may know it supposes to be a horror movie, and the “Brides War” is a romantic comedy which is my favorite gender, all the brides in the two movies are evil. hehehe Which was the idea that catched my attention.

The process: First, I downloaded the tho videos from youtube with Easy YouTube Video Downloader add-on  previewsly installed in Firefox. Second, I tried to use different video tools as imovie, adobe premier, and finally movie maker. The last option was the easiest to use for a video beginner as me. The intefaz was really intuitive, and you do not really have to be an expert to have creativity and to blend nicely the audio with the different scenes just by cutting, pasting, and erasing.
