My name is a palindrome. My family has this weird thing where they all know how to say their names backwards and randomly bring it up. I think my Dad started it. In any case, I always felt so left out because my name is a palindrome! But I guess it’s kind of unique.

Although I obviously didn’t take this photo, it has always been one of my favorites. In the originial photograph, each of the girls dresses is a different color. However, I chose to single out my favorite color (a mustard gold/yellow) in this!

These are my rainboots! Rainy weather is my favorite. I don’t particularly like going outside in it, but I love listening to it. When I was little, my Dad would always sit on the porch whenever it rained. Growing up I had lots of siblings so the only time I got to spend one on one with my dad was on the porch in the rain. I would always run to find him as soon as I heard the rain falling and I would sit on his lap while he read a book. We would sit there for hours listening to the rain together in silence. I haven’t lived with my dad since I was ten so the rain always makes me think of him. It’s our connection to each other even though we live so far apart.
