Radio Podcast Experience

Recently 3 classmates and myself took on the assignment of producing a 30 minute mock radio broadcast.  To be honest, when we first got this assignment i was nervous, i feel like i’ve been a few paces behind the class technology wise and i wondered how the hell is this going to happen?”

Well as it turns out (thanks to the help of teachers and classmates) that garage band is an incredible application when you get into it.  I was in a great group, everyone was really focused on getting the job done, and doing a quality project.  We meet up in the library record the whole thing in one session …and it took on a life of its own.

The first 20 minutes playing around with garage band were a little discouraging, but once we got the hang of it we were cruising.  Everyone was laughing and having fun with it, and i surprisingly really enjoyed the assignment.  I’ve never spent 3 straight hours working on something, but it felt like play most of the time as opposed to work.

I was very happy with the finished product, we called our show “3 Chicks and a Dude” and it was the perfect combination of capturing the objective and being loose and laid back about it, which is what i love doing.

Check it out here!! 3 Chicks and a Dude radio
