Tuesday, March – the day *%@$ hit the fan.
This was actually intended to be for Tuesday, the day we officially started the two weeks of video; but given the circumstances, of *%@$ hitting the fan, I didn’t get to do it until now. From a Friday perspective looking back at Tuesday, I still think *%@$ is still hitting the fan, but not as much! Editing video is, in my opinion, the most difficult thing we’ve done thus far in ds106, but I’m getting through it, and it’s getting better. As much as I hate to say it as it is at times painfully frustrating, I am getting a lot out of these assignments in terms of learning how use iMovie, as well as looking for other tools (e.g. a screen recording).
To make this image, I found a picture of a fan on flickr’s creative commons. I put the picture on Photoshop, and I selected the fan, and copied it a few times in layers so that I could make the look of movement more dramatic. The original picture of the fan was really crisp and very good, but I wanted to try to “make it mine. ” I added the text in a new layer, and used the blur tool in an attempt to make it look like it was moving.
