Remix Assignment – Stop frame photography  – Take several pictures of one object movie. When the pictures are place together is will show the movement of the object.  Take any assignment and introduce the visual elements of a Jackson Pollack painting (good luck with audio, use your creativity!).

So, I started with “The Evolution Of a Story”.  I then went and looked at some Pollack art, and noticed that he used a lot of neutral colors, but I decided that I wanted use some brighter ones, to parallel the mood of the story presented in Mandi’s series of photos.  I knew that I was going to need a splattered look, so I Googled ways to do this.  I found a Youtube video, and he listed links for splatter paintbrushes that you could load into Photoshop.  I made sure the opacity was about 40% so that you could still see the photos underneath.

Here are the links I used to get the paintbrush tools:
I am glad I got this remix because it was the first time I ever needed to download something for Photoshop, and then upload it in.  This was something useful that I’m sure I will continue to do (uploading new brushes, etc.).
Assignment worth 6 stars.
