Alright, I’m not done with this week’s assignments yet, but I have everything done except for my Daily Creates.  Those will come, but there’s no reason why I can’t go ahead and reflect on everything that I’ve already done for the week.  So, without further ado, here we go!

Photoblitz – I absolutely loved this assignment.  Probably my favorite so far but this week was filled with a lot of fun and interesting assignments.  I would definitely have to say though that this week was the most fun in terms of assignments.  I’m not sure why, maybe it was because how abstract and outside the box that I had to think, but it could also do with the working against the clock.  We were only given twenty minutes and that isn’t a lot of time at all considering you have to think about the picture that you’re going to take before you take it.  You have to consider angles, colors, distance, etc.  Really excellent exercise.  I’ve given this to a couple of my friends and they have both thanked me for passing it along to them.

Daily Creates – Daily Creates were fun this week!  I always enjoy getting these done and seeing which ones I can do throughout the week.  Definitely check them out and let me know what you think of them!

Visual Assignments – #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, and #6 – These were a lot of fun.  It was interesting going through and finding random ones that I was able to complete.  I stuck with mostly photograph editing Visual Assignments, but hey, it says we are aloud to choose which ones we wanted to do.  I had a lot of fun using Photoshop Express Editor, which, if you read my blog posts, I praised a TON.  There’s probably other sites out there to use, but I think this one was definitely most dynamic in terms of getting all of the things done that I needed in one place.  It did take me quite a bit of time, but I think a good chunk of the time this week were supposed to be spent doing the Visual Assignments.  If that’s not the case, oh well!  I certainly wound up spending a good majority of the time doing these.

Flickr Set – I’m not sure why this isn’t in the weekly summary, but I’m including it in mine anyways!  I think this is very important and would love to figure out how to put this on my website just so people can see it as a widget.  Considering I’m uploading a ton of pictures to Flickr and probably will be throughout the semester, it’s a great way to share the photos that I’m uploading with the rest of the people that view my site.  I hope that you all check it out!

Radio Show Blog Post – This is pretty self-explanatory.  I might change it as the week goes on, but our group is definitely rolling on all of the things we want to do with our Radio Show.  We’ve got a good grasp on pretty much every aspect and are ready to move forward once other deadlines come up.  I don’t think that we (Group 1) have anything to worry about in terms of people not pulling their own weight.  We’re all really great at communicating and it looks like it’s going to be a fun group to work with.

Week 5 Reflection – It looks like this is going to be a lot of work to do with the Radio Show, but we are definitely going to blow everyone away with something amazing.  It’s all just stirring around in a pot but, by the end, it’s going to turn into something so well crafted that people are going to cry at it’s beauty.  That might be a little bit of an exaggeration, but it will be good!  The Visual Assignments were a lot of fun to create and took a good amount of time.  Hopefully we can do more creative assignments like that in the future.  It’s amazing to see how much my blog has grown just in 5 weeks, but this class is definitely flying by.  It’s already been 5 weeks!  It doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but I feel like it was just yesterday that I was creating my website and customizing it.  As far as the photography aspect goes, we spent a lot of time working with and manipulating photos this week.  Different angles and colors and depths can definitely change a story drastically.  They say that pictures are worth a thousand words, and I believe that they most definitely are in this instance.  I’ve taken a bunch of photos this week and played around with tons of different effects and angles.  It’s definitely important to take all of these things into consideration when dealing with a visual story.
