To start of the 5 stars of audio we must complete, I chose the 2 star assignment “May I take your order?”

For this assignment, All you need to do is record yourself (better if you use an accent of some kind) placing an order at McDonald’s, but make it interesting. So ask for a diet coke without ice, or something along those lines.

I decided I would do voices for both the order and the McDonald’s worker, to (hopefully) make it funnier. To do this assignment, I went on McDonald’s website to see what they offered. I rarely eat McDonald’s, so I wanted to make sure what I asked for was something they actually served.

I then wrote out a script, I’m bad with impromptu recordings so writing a script helps me out. I decided for the order’s voice I wanted to go with a southern accent. To be honest, I’ve always wanted a true southern accent. I’m not really sure I pulled it off in this audio clip. But I think it’s kinda close,maybe. And for the McDonald’s worker, I don’t really know how I came up with the voice, it just happened. But I’d say its really nasally sounding.

So I recorded everything in Audacity and then I layered it together. Here is the final product in Audacity
