Every minute, 72 hours of video are uploaded to Youtube!! WOWZERs!
One can go to Youtube and look up just about any sort of video they would like. All videos on the site can be categorized into different Genres.
For this assignment, we were to look at some class examples of Youtube genres and either select videos to go with a particular genre, create our own genre or do one of each.
I chose to go with the later option.
From the Class list, I chose the genre of Unintentional Hilarity and this is the video I picked.
I mean, how hysterical is that?? I just saw this video the other day and I was dying!! haha I think this video describes Unintentional Hilarity perfectly because by the title (Camel vs. Girl (in race!)) one might not know what to expect, that’s how I felt. And when the Camel begins to run, I don’t think anyone would expect the camel to run like a crazy! Which causes the unintentional hilarity!! I love it!
For the second example, I created a “new” Genre- Surprises of a Lifetime. One day when I was avoiding homework taking a break from homework I somehow ended up watching a Youtube video of a military man surprising his family. Oh my word: cue the waterworks, and I am NOT a cryer. So you know you’ve got me good when I’m crying. Anyway, but there are also other surprises of a Lifetime that I’ve seen on Youtube, such as proposals, baby announcements, gender reveals for babies, etc. All of these would categorize as “surprises of a lifetime”
I quickly searched for a surprise military homecoming and found this one. It happened last November and it actually takes place in the Hampton Roads Area of Virginia! Pretty neat. And I teared up! I love a good surprise! So heartwarming!!
